Because I've been on some other planet

I've landed
[‘Landed’ – Ben Folds]
Matt had not been on the field once on a Friday night since he was accepted on the team. Not once. Sure, he was a Panther and apparently they were all on the same equal team. Clear eyes – Full hearts – Can’t lose! But no. He wasn’t Smash, he wasn’t Riggins, and he certainly wasn’t Street. He never would be. There was no way he was ever going to be good enough to be any driving force to win a Dillon Panthers football game, even if he was on the team and he was a football player. He had a number on his back just like everyone else there. Number 7. He had been 7 since he had joined the team in his Junior year. He was 7 and he was a quarterback.
( But there was no way he could match the likes of Jason Street... )
